Non-Profit & Small Business

Inland Arts Council

Cut through the Noise. Reach your People.

NPO's and online companies alike rely on compelling content to drive user traffic to their websites. Social Media is an invaluable tool for marketing in the modern age, and combined with our eCommerce and Data Analytics toolkits, we were able to give the IAC a web presence that drove awareness, attendance, and donations.

Mastering Media

As a Non Profit in it's first year, the Inland Arts Council had the daunting mission of rallying local community to support Artists of all walks in the post-pandemic economy. Their primary goal was Outreach for supporters, so we provided them a ground-up build for their grassroots organization that focused on social media, link sharing, and drove user engagement.

Since they were such a new project, their pre-existing media was non-existent. Within 30 days though, I had generated enough assets for them to have a beautifully interactive website. It internally linked to over 30 artist & staff interviews in accessible video / audio / text format, the calendar updated itself, the content shared from that website auto-populated schedulable social media posts, an automated online store handled ticket sales & managed the associated database, and they were soon overtaking long standing local Arts Organizations in the search engines. In their first year, this enabled them to collect & distribute thousands in donations to artists in need.

Style & Theme

The longevity of User Engagement on the IAC website showed intense correlation with donations and event attendance. Building a site that kept it's visitors clicking was consequently one of our highest priorities.

On top of a sleek easy-to-navigate & easy-on-the-eye design, I built elements to be as interactive as possible. Powerful social media promotional tools pushed viewers to the IAC website, while hover states, internal links, animations, Call to Actions, and compelling media kept them there once they had arrived.

The Power of CMS

With a Board of Directors, dozens of collaborating artists across all mediums, and a host of volunteer staff, it was imperative that the IAC have a system for quickly updating their online presence.

Content Management (CMS) provides a way to make batch edits to existing websites, all without writing a single line of code. No more waiting on the Webmaster-- Whether you need to update your calendar, vlog, or inventory, CMS puts the power in your hands.

Our effortless CMS allowed the IAC to make lightening fast edits & additions to their staff and event pages in a code-free environment that carried zero risk of altering critical components of the website's normal functionality. Adding or changing photos, text, videos, pricing, and more were all within 10 clicks to accomplish, even for someone with zero web design experience.

Effortless Design

The IAC put on events ranging from Backyard Concerts and Dinner Parties to Fashion Galas and Festivals. The communities that supported these events were as diverse as the IAC's goals.

In order to handle such a wide flux of viewers wanting to find such a diversity of information, I built custom forms along demographic lines that fed into easy-access databases for the IAC.

Whether attendees, volunteers, technical staff, or performers of a dozen different varieties, our database sorted the information based on user input. The spreadsheets those databases created could then be easily uploaded to not only automatically populate a grid of bio photos, but it also created pre-styled new pages for the added participants as well.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is used to track website performance and collect visitor insights. It can help organizations determine top sources of user traffic, gauge the success of their marketing activities and campaigns, track goal completions (such as purchases, adding products to carts), discover patterns and trends in user engagement and obtain other visitor information such as demographics.

Google Analytics acquires user data from each website visitor through the use of page tags. A JavaScript page tag is inserted into the code of each page. This tag runs in the web browser of each visitor, collecting data and sending it to one of Google's data collection servers. Google Analytics can then generate customizable reports to track and visualize data such as the number of users, bounce rates, average session durations, sessions by channel, page views, goal completions and more.

You have heard of the saying “nothing in life is free”, in the case of Google Analytics, that is not true. Google does not charge you anything for using this product. Plus, it provides you with important information, numbers and statistics to help you maximize your website’s performance.

There are other web analytic tools available, some offer an initial free period then have a monthly fee, others have a one-time charge. They all can provide you with relevant information about your websites performance, but we feel Google Analytics provides more choices of data analysis, was designed by the most popular search engine and again, it is FREE.

Give us a brief introduction to your project, what you hope to gain in a (re)build of a new site, and any concept you may have of budget & timeline. Don't hesitate if you don't know-- we are here to help you figure it out.
